|  Urgent Prayer for India
I’ve been excitedly writing about my long-awaited healing crusade to India, which was to occur October 23-25. Unfortunately, persecution of Christians has reached a point that it is unsafe for my team and me to go to India at this time.
We’ve rescheduled the crusade until January, and I ask you to be in prayer until then. You can go to our India Prayer Wall to enter a prayer there and share yours with those of many others. Here are some specific prayer points for your prayer time.
- Pray for the Christians currently being martyred
- Pray that God will cleanse the hearts of the persecutors of hatred
- Pray that the violence will cease, and God will be glorified
- Praise God for the ways in which he is touching hearts and minds in preparation for January crusade

Here is a report on the situation from Dennis Wrigley, Maranatha Community Leader.
“We send you greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
“This is a very urgent request for prayer for our brothers and sisters in Orissa, India. During the past three weeks, Christians have been brutally and systematically persecuted for their faith by Hindu militants. At this moment thousands of them are in camps and in desperate need. Many of them have been burnt out of their homes and brutally assaulted. Six hundred churches have been destroyed since the troubles started, and during the past three days there have been signs that the VHP militants are inciting even more hatred and violence in other parts of India
“Please pass on this prayer request to any other prayer networks with which you are associated. Please ensure prayers are offered at your church next Sunday. Christians in many countries are now gathering together, and we believe God is raising a mighty army of prayer for His people in Orissa. Also please pray for the persecutors who have so much hatred in their hearts.
“The document available here has been sent to key political leaders worldwide, and also to Christian leaders. It gives a factual overview of what is happening. Please circulate this information as widely as possible.
